Exactly a week ago today, I was playing with DR’s magnificant 100 piece Symphonic Orchestra. I was so honored to be asked to perform for HRH Margrethe II of Denmark, at the celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of her reign! The gala performance took place at the DR Concert Hall and was broadcast live on Danish national television.

I always get excited, but it’s been a long time since I’ve been so nervous before a performance! Interpreting a classic like Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely”, getting goosebumps every time the Orchestra played, practicing my royal curtsy in my fierce slit dress, while manovering a Swarovski-crystal the size of a grown mans fist, meeting the Royal Family face to face, and doing all of this while feeling graceful and enjoying the moment - was more than enough to get my blood pumping
